So I've seen WWJD (what would Jesus do?) and FROG (Fully Rely on God) and a few others... is this BUSH (Bornagain United States Hero) or Bring Us Social Healthcare...
It's definitely disturbing, but I think you have the right attitude, Paddy. -Jq
I just picked one of these up. I've built a little box with doors on it that I've placed it in. Just in front I have a small sand box in which I like to place incense and small candles. I've found it to be a great discipline to meditate while kneeling in front of it, chanting the pledge of allegiance. Then I like to finish it all off by whistling "hail to the chief". The Lord is sure to bless me indeed.
My American Patriotic Bible Verse of the Day: "Woe to him who piles up stolen goods, and makes himself wealthy by extortion. How long must this go on? Will not you debtors suddenly arise? Will they not wake up and make you tremble? Then you will become their victim; Because you have plundered many nations, the people who are left, they will plunder you. For you have shed man's blood; you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them. Woe to him who builds his realm by unjust gain; to set his nest on high, to escape the clutches of ruin! You have plotted the ruin of many peoples." Habakkuk 2:6-10 But then, maybe our nations gain is not really unjust gain,... After all, God's concepts of justice must be the same as ours... right?
I'm a self-identified ecclesiophile (lover of the Church). I enjoy reading about and reflecting upon this fascinating and integral part of the divine-human relationship. Hence, many of my posts get around to involving or addressing the Church in some way.
